I rescued Apollo just before Stormy died in 1996. He was a Sheriff's Mounted Patrol Horse that had a reoccurring injury and they did not feel he was fit to use any longer. He was 15 years old then and is still with us at 23 years old (2004). He is kept on daily medication for the old hock injury, plus he has COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and stays on breathing medication twice daily. He gets supplements daily for his coat, hooves and Mega 4 vitamins.

Zeus was rescued from  upstate NY as a companion for Apollo. Zeus was only 1 year old and not gelded. Of course that was taken care of within a week. He can't stand for Apollo to be out of the paddock without him. Zeus is like a huge Great Dane dog. He wants to play and is very mischievous. He will dump over the muck bucket if you aren't looking.
