I received a call from my vet's office, that some tree people needed help, because they cut down a tree and some baby birds were in a nest.  I rushed over to where they were working and we got them safely into a carrying crate.  I contacted my rescue friend Dale, who had all the necessities to care for these babies until they could be transported to RAPTURES Bird Rescue in New Jersey.

Gail plays golf at Spook Rock Golf Course and for over two months
she kept seeing this one poor goose that was not able to fly.
Since the golf course discourages geese being there, she was
afraid something bad was going to happen to him, let alone winter
was coming on. So we contacted Paula, who got Marilyn in our
area to assist Gail in capturing the goose. Paula came and got him
and placed him in a sanctuary. Mr. Goose is safe and as you can see
he now has a new Ms. Goose girl friend.

Sidney is a Senegal Parrot I rescued in 1988. A young man had him as a pet at college, but when he found out that his roommates put Sidney in a paper bag and blew smoke in on him he asked me if I would adopt Sidney. Of course I took him right away and he has been with me ever since. He is now a happy bird and gets a fresh red apple every other day.

This was a darling photo of one of my Poms taking a cookie from Andrew. If I let him, he would eat with the dogs in their dish. Andrew loves the dogs and cats, but they all know not to get over zealous with Mr. Andrew, especailly since I am always in the room when he is out of his cage.

Porsche' was kept in a cage at a restaurant until the owner got too many complaints from the customers about her screaming. I bought her to keep Andrew company as they were the same age of only two years old and also an Umbrella Cockatoo. Porsche' is shy around strangers, but can be very sweet when she wants attention.

Andrew is an Umbrella Cockatoo that I got as a baby. He was not a rescue, but he was missing one claw that he lost at birth. Andrew talks and does a Bee Bop dance. He is around 18 years old now (2004) and can live to be 60+ years. He is completely tame and very affectionate. Andrew and Porsche' are totally bonded and love each other.
