Second Chance Pet Society, Inc. is dedicated to helping homeless and injured animals in need find loving and caring forever homes.
I have been involved in animal rescue for over twenty-five years and am a retired SPCA Director. In 1993 I founded Second Chance Pet Society, Inc., a NYS 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue. We specialize in rescue, foster and adoption of Toy Breed Dogs and Toy Mixes. Our specialty breed is the Pomeranian, but also, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Chihuahua, Pekingese, Shih Tzu, Toy Poodles and any toy mixed breed.
When at all possible we assist in placement of larger breeds, also assist owner's with any breed dog or feline if owners are willing to keep them in their home until we can arrange adoption. Our primary goal is to help those toy breeds in kill shelters, whether it be to make contact for a rescue closer to that area to take them in or to arrange to have them transported to us. In this way we hope to be able to bring both animals and people together and make them complete families.
